Description
The Missouri Botanical Gardens has a vast iris garden and just as soon as the last bloom has fallen the day lilies (which occupy the very next garden on the path) spring into life with so many varieties they are urging people to adopt a bulb and take one home. It takes some space though...you'll possibly have to dig up something you are now enjoying to make room for it..and they look great as a team presentation, so one won't do. I declined...but I captured this riot of soft velvet anyway. Enjoy!

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
They do offer bulbs, only on the days they are cleaning the beds...not in their gift shop. Maybe next year I can get some!
