Description
I have been intrigued by the St. Louis Arch since our arrival here fifteen years ago. I often wondered how in the world I could "fit" it into paintings. Here's one way....!! I'm reminded of Hokusai, a famous Japanese artist whose Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji are so popular and indeed I have a book of his color woodblock color prints. It would be lovely to do an Arch series.

What a great composition. So much in it, and interesting perspective. Though the arch is in the distance, it still feels powerful. LF

And the train went on for fifteen minutes and so we finally turned around and found another highway!
