How nice to have my magnolia cone featured in WHAT! I am always grateful for this notice and your support of my photography and art. Thanks, Jim!!!

How about it! Every stage of a magnolia bloom is magnificent and this is a great picture to remind us of that!

I revisited this cone the next day and it was already turning a funny pink color and had slumped over. Beauty is fleeting!! (But I caught it!)

Many thanks, John for this lovely feature of my magnolia cone. It's just like me to have painted so many portraits of this flower and never to have studied all of the fruits from the magnolia tree. I may try to do a watercolor from this photo!

Beautiful! Love those little curlicues.

Me, too. I don't think I remember seeing a white cone before. So fancy!!!

Stunning!

I thought so too...as I found this cone tucked behind these wondrous green leaves. The magnolia is one of the oldest plants on record.

It's beautiful. Wonderful shot! l/f!

What a shape! Like a Renaissance costume or a white pineapple? Usually these are green or a dull brown...not this great wooly cream. I'll have to revisit it when it splits open to reveal scarlet seeds in the fall. Look for another photo!
