The dictionary's description of "arabesque": an ornament or style that employs flower, foliage, or fruit and sometimes animal and figural outlines to produce an intricate pattern of interlaced lines. I think this fits perfectly!

An arabesque it is. Wonderful sense of joyous free movement. lf

I took lots of dance classes as a child and even later in college....tap, ballet, modern...and I think it really helps my art. I do feel the "dance" when I do brush and line work. Thanks, I'na for this lovely comment!

I was happy! This is a portion of a larger one and there may be more ...because I have lots of birds emerging!

Thanks, Elizabeth. This is a portion of a bigger piece and the rhythms had more room to grow!
