Description
An attempt to make my paper sculptures into figurative paintings, using the cloning tools and other effects in Irfan effects. The result, a pretty woman in a garden with a flowering tree, sits pensively in a black chair, all elaborately dressed and waiting for the next event to happen.

Thanks so much, Jim for this feature. I've brought this little paper sculpture full circle when I added a face and also those stylish shoes. Who knew all of this was waiting for me to learn? Love the feature.

Uniquely done, well presented Nancy ! v.f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
It is difficult for me to draw with the mouse...and I'm just learning how to use some of these computer techniques. I did enjoy this challenge! Thanks, Fei.

Love this!! Very beautiful and creative and expressive!! v/f/pin!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks, Lenore. The dress made from paper was just too pretty not to find a "person" to inhabit the folds and frill. Very fun for me to revisit this and add to it!

Nancy, fine work, would like to see more. fav.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Good idea, Dagmar. I'd love to revisit the fun I had creating these costumes and figures from crunched paper and ink....and now to add faces!

It's so wonderful to have this new work, "Anticipation" in a feature in Images That Excite You". I did these paper sculptures two years ago and am just realizing how I can edit them and make them more personal using Paint in Windows 7.
Meg Shearer
I love the figure and how she works with the background, and love the feeling of wind. This is beautiful Nancy! l/f!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I really appreciate your comments, Meg. I just stumbled into this idea....as I used the Paint program for other projects. Now I realize it can be used to "edit" art!
