Description
We had a family of blue jays one spring. Once I saw five of them, wings wide,
flying across our back yard. That year they left these gifts and I have placed them on an acrylic painting hoping to showcase their beauty.

Beautiful indeed LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Treasured this gift to me and my back yard. We always had blue jays and each spring a nest and usually five little ones. I don't see so many anymore!

Many thanks, Stefano for featuring my jay feathers in 10 Plus. I hope they will find an even wider audience!

There are pictures that you just keep coming back to view! Always a pleasure to view your work Nancy!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Just filled the bird feeder this evening, making certain there were lots of sunflower seeds. These feathers are the art. They deserve to be enjoyed again and again.

This is an instant fave! A wonderful collection of feathers that have been displayed so well, nice choice on the background painting, love it. I'm not a painter, but I started painting a few backgrounds for my floral shots...this is inspiring. Great title too.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Oh, thanks, Chris. These feathers just take your breath away...I just wanted to find a nice way to share them. What colors! Don't look for them in an art store....!!

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
We had a group of baby jays again this summer and I tried in vain for a good photograph of them. For now, I'll enjoy these feathers. Happy you liked them too!

Thank you so much for this warm praise. Once you've made the decision to save these beauties, art has to follow.

I love this. The color combinations are great. This particular work has a special significance to me. Instant v/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I put this together months ago and hesitated, as I do so often....and that's why these responses mean so much to me. What I love and care about is finding resonance with a audience of dear friend/artists. Couldn't be better. Thanks, Lenore.
Karen Adams

This is awesome - love this whole concept and your background has that wonderful painted feeling. Gorgeous combination. F/V
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thank you, Lianne. Blue Jays are such big, dramatic birds. The babies are huge, too and very funny looking. I have enjoyed watching several "litters" of these beauties and these feathers are just too beautiful not to be shared.
