Description
Another scene from an unwritten book, musings from books I enjoyed as a child, especially the series written by Katharine E. Dopp, 1912...The Tree Dwellers, The Early Cave-men, The Early Sea People, The Early Herdsmen. I collect her books...the first editions. I first found them in third grade and they are marvelous!!

F/L. I love this:>). My imagination gboes in a zillion different directions - the colors are beautiful, too.

I loved putting the pieces together to carve this scene from an abstract painting, making the little figures with a cloning tool on Irfan Paint program. So happy you found it. I enjoy ancient civilizations!!

Thanks so very much Jeff for this feature in Abstract Geek and SciFi gallery. I'm excited to share this one, so original to me and very unplanned, just drifting out and then slightly reassembled with digital help in Irfan Painting. I'm amazed to be even noticed, my skills all self taught and rudimentary. My thanks, Jeff for your good support of my work!

Love this, Nancy. Where would we be without the magic of books to lead us into visiting imagined worlds and experiences!! LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I'm so glad I shouted out to Katharine E. Dopp and her fabulous books.published in 1912. She relays the information in story form, especially to please children. She certainly caught my attention in the 3rd grade, the Tree Dwellers read to us by the Catholic nun. I can still remember this as my "pod cast"..as we only got one chapter per day.

This is beautiful Nancy! I love the world and love the style!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Many thanks, Meg. Way before I found literature I found primate man and these marvelous books used in classrooms to teach children about the dawn of civilization. The text and drawings are the best!

Thanks so much Bob for this visit and comment. I did this one last year following a wonderful exhibit at our art museum of sunken treasures from Alexandria, Egypt!
