Description
My husband and I have been minor art collectors. It's more than a hobby, maybe verging on passion, enjoyed as a regular activity we look forward to, shopping at antique stores and estate sales. We have even traded our "finds", sold at auction, watched our "babies" graduate to other homes. It gets us outside....maybe not to mountains or parks, but outside of ourselves. It's our fun. Here's one example. This folk art riverboat lived with us for fifteen years...and is now...a photo. I love that we let it sail. We have new pieces, what we just found and now love.... but this might be our last boat. It was a great one! And as I typed this and looked below I realized that this boat might sail on as a shower curtain...or blanket! Nice thought for a toy and for Christmas.

Such a wonderful capture Nancy! ❤ l/f

Thanks, Chris! St. Louis, Missouri where we live used to be the center of river boat traffic. This was unsigned and we never really knew who made it.

I love this Nancy! It's a marvelous boat! l/f!

When Feather was a kitten she almost impaled herself on this boat and it was on the very top of a bookshelf. She was a jumper. And so the boat sailed on...and we are happy!

We live in paddle boat country now....but we purchased this boat in Los Angeles....interesting how it found its way back to the big river!

It is a continuous adventure. I'm actually sorry we parted with the boat. It's the only thing I miss.
