I love the Eastern influence in your work. I carries a sense of serenity while still exuding energy. LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Many thanks, Mary. I've had just enough art lessons to jump the fence and frolic like a pony in the spring. I certainly have had joy!

There is such a wonderful freedom to your brushstrokes in this lovely painting, Nancy. Love the gorgeous colors and feeling this has! L/F
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I work best when I don't have a brush. Using a credit card forces me to use my arm for the long strokes, mix paint but keep two colors separate...lots of ways to stay free. I spent many years doing very detailed botanical art.

Nancy, there is a wonderful feeling in your painting!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Am trying for almost an action painting, applying the color with full sweep of the arm, the acrylic loaded on a credit card. It's a bit chaotic but surprising.

Nancy, the oriental feel was immediately noticeable even from the thumbnail. You paint from your heart and a little part of it must be out there somewhere in the far east ! Just love what you do in your unique and "feely"way using authentic Chinese methods. So beautiful.L/F
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Well, these are not the authentic methods I learned, but I have been so influenced by all of that training. Thanks, Jane. Hugs.

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I'm so happy you like this one. I posted it almost in celebration of this tough week I've had losing my computer and adjusting to Windows 7. Seems simple enough but it caused lots of anxiety for me. There are lots of feeling in this simple garden....! I painted it some time ago!
