Another in my imaginary flower series, this one is like an iris but perhaps in

Nancy, this is so creative and such an inspiring work. Voted and l/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I have iris bulbs in my front and back yards. I've seen them in snow and in terrible storms...they are hearty! I save them as dried stalks and add them to fresh flowers. Always a fan!!

Beautiful and free Nancy...will vote.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
So happy you liked this one. I've had purple iris in my garden for fourteen years and I just love their complexity and beauty! Thanks for the vote too!

Wonderful!! Love the creativity of this and the colors...it's like a dance :o)
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
So happy you like this one. It was one of the first in my imaginary flower series...when I learned how to push acrylic about with the side of a credit card. So exciting to see what develops!

Iris --nice, like blown glass -- I'm a big fan of blue/tan combos!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Again, I think I'm using Payne Gray and quinacridone gold...and others. Thanks, Bill. I'm out on a stem inventing my own flowers....

Many thanks, Barbara. Iris are one of my favorite flowers....so complicated in structure....I just invented my own version of them!

such a marvelous series!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
How nice of you to come looking at this one. These imaginary flowers were the first things which really got me back into painting....especially using a credit card or a sharp edge to keep it from getting too tight.

Beautiful painting, Nance. Voted.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thank you so much, Jeff. I think I may just go back to this "art" because it's wildly fun and I don't see anyone out there imagining flowers which don't really exist...except in the wonderful world of acrylics.
