I was determined this year, seeing that my five hydrangea trees were going to give their most glorious harvest, to catch the action as it occurred. What a sight to see the arrangement of tiny buds and the leaves below, looking a bit like dancers in a Busby Berkeley routine.

I do think we get lost in color and then miss the wonderful organization of nature, the strict spacing of leaves and flowers, the branches making a theater really, each little bud able to have it's seat, be bathed in the sun unobstructed. I'll post a few more of these in b

I felt like spying on this delicate bud and leaf party. I loved the organization, the spacing even....the branches placed just so that every surface could share the sun. Amazing!
