My son hiked Corsica which is fairly treeless and all rock. They call it the Appalachian Trail of Europe. I You Tubed it....so this might be my impression.....

Just realized where this imagery came from....my son hiked Corsica two summers ago....a seven day adventure.....all rock...very few trees. I You Tubed the hike and followed the trail via computer. And here it is....my hike!!!
