Many thanks, David for featuring my Ancient Trees in Midwest American Photography. It's such an honor and I'm delighted to be chosen. Forest Park in St. Louis is a wonderful city park, filled with old and magnificent trees, flowers, wildlife, birds (herons and ducks) a zoo, an art museum....just at this moment waiting for spring and my camera to explore.

A subtle but compelling image, combining a kind of ultra-realism with the delicate strokes of a finely-crafted animated film set in a magical realm. Fav & fol

This stand of trees is in Forest Park in St. Louis and these are indeed very old trees. I didn't enhance the photo at all....it really is magical!

Thank you, Melly. This urban park is quite old and the trees which have survived over the years are truly essays in endurance and grace.

I have been to this very spot before....and the mood is there no matter the time of day. It's one of those magical places....like a fairy glen in a children's book.
