Imagine a Tree
Artist

Painting - Gouache
Description
A tree with pink leaves which look like flowers. A tree, all alone in it's crooked
trunk, which has nonetheless found equilibrium. Stands convincingly. Bends and
is beautiful. Or so I imagine.

Oooh, I love this, Nancy!! What beautiful shapes her crooked trunk and branches make!!! Love the background, too!! :)))vf
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
If I had to do it all over again....I would have tried for a story book with wild fun vegetation and funny imaginary characters. My mind has moved on....but now and then....a tree pops out!

Thanks so much, Vivian. If we get the privilege of living a long life, we see how much the bending is necessary and how important it is to keep our balance. Somehow that thought is in this tree.

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Your words are so dear to me, Meg. Some of these sketches just pour out of me....and I see the "flaws" but they seem so heartfelt that I share them and there's really no correcting them or doing them over. Thanks for this cheer!
