Many thanks, Lenore for featuring my River Valley Sunset in Old MASTERS - Paintings and Traditional Art. I never thought of myself as a regional painter but when I review my past ten years of work I find the Mississippi River runs through much of it. It's right here in St. Louis and we take many road trips for my photography. I'm so pleased to have an extra showcase for this one!
Lynn Marie Sharp
Beautiful and a favorite!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Many thanks, Lynn. I love doing these aerial abstract landscapes, creating the scene with acrylics and a credit card squeegee. It's actually quite small.

Gorgeous photo-painting, Nancy and congrats for your Feature: Old Masters Painters group, FAV , regards, VIVA
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Actually an acrylic painting produced with my trusty credit card squeegee. And then I pulsed the lighting with Picasa! Goodness I'd love to get back to these big landscapes!!! Thanks, Vivian.

Beautiful colors and style!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
We just took a small road trip to the Mississippi valley this weekend. This location always inspires my art so I'm certain a winter valley will be coming soon! Thanks, Meg.

Beautiful richness, striations and light in this fascinating abstract Nancy! So earthy! FL
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks so much. I intend in the next week to choose about four or five of my things and order them up in poster size so that I can really get the feeling of what I'm selling. It's about time!!!
Gun Legler
Nancy, this is such a wonderful abstract scene! The play between light and shadow gives it a fantastic mood!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Many thanks, Gun. This one is still small and I had hoped that I'd increase my range by this summer. Not so. Shifting back to pen and ink!!

Hi Nancy your profolio is so beautiful. I was on Sarah's site and saw that you would love to get photoshop...they have a deal on photography which I don't think it makes a difference as far as programs..take a look it is 9.99 a month..http://www.adobe.com/ and check there deals, or gimp..I use that alot.. getting back to your art..it is lovely..wow, really enjoyed looking thru it.. Sherri fl
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thank you so much Sherri! I did take one course (too advanced) and got lost in the "layers". Then I bought Photoshop Elements 6 and still haven't played with it enough to make it a good tool for me. And I have an old computer which may not like this big upsurge of memory, rams, whatever....I'm low tech!! Someday.....

Stunning asbtract Nancy! with incredible mood, contrasts and beautiful light! FL
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
The Mississippi River flows right through St. Louis and I always enjoy the vistas when I choose a window seat on the airplanes. I think my abstract paintings are intuitive and I surprise myself. Thanks for all of your encouragement, Nikki!
