Protractor Memories Canvas Print

Looking at this design I remember owning so many protractors (that math tool which probably came in kits with other things) and never using them. I own a book published in 1912 entitled "A Practical Course in Mechanical Drawing" by William F. Willard and my father's book "Plane and Spherical Trigonometry" by G. A. Wentworth...the 1903 revised from the original 1882 edition. I have never studied or practiced these exercises....but I assume my DNA contains this information. I loved Geometry 1 and 2 in high school!

I began my love for art by watching my mother paint in oils and pastels. I must have caught the bug because I have enjoyed fifty years of drawing, painting and photography, urged on and instructed by professors, a botanist, a master of Chinese brush painting and calligraphy, water colorists and lately, mixed media devotees. After a course in cubism in 1973 I began to explore pen and ink geometric art. Each stroke was unplanned but exact, the designs becoming more elaborate and more fun to execute.
