Beautiful!!! L/F!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thank you, Meg. This one is especially shining because I mixed Alcohol inks with the acrylics.

Oh I love this - what a beautiful abstract that allows the viewer to really get absorbed into the work - the color, the flow, the imagination of it. I can feel the sea at sunset!! Gorgeous. F/L FB T

Gorgeous abstraction...the sea is very inviting and I want to go there!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Inventing landscapes and seascapes is a leftover from copying so many Chinese brush paintings. It's very fun to do.

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I'm mixing some alcohol inks over the acrylic. That deep orange. It gives another dimension!

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I think it's because I have been mixing art inks with my acrylic painting. They have a strange beautiful glow.

Yes, the inks are so wonderful....and I've used them in several of my newer painting and there's a distinctive difference in those pieces.

This has an immediate sense of reflection, but on second look, it's more like there is something beneath the surface demanding attention. I love this painting. v/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thank you so much, Lenore. I have been using Adirondack Alcohol Ink (shades: ginger, caramel, latte) with acrylics and the effects are so unusual. I learned about this in a mixed media class. It comes in non-alcohol too, but they're harder to find.

Nancy, I'm glad you did post this one. It is so interesting and has fascinating shapes. The colors are great too. F/V
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thank you Anne-Elizabeth. Now that there's a snap of cold in the air, I feel the creative juices stirring!

I can see a person looking at me blended in this amazing expressive abstract portrait , those stunning blue hues add to a fabulous and exciting conceptual landscape , wonderful work Nancy
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I photograph these at close macro distance and I have had a flare (of me) in my art before. I can see it and I think it's nice to have a ghostly image ....thanks for the lovely comment. I almost didn't post this one!
