Thanks so very much, Greta for including "Fields of Flowers" in the feature gallery of The Magic of Flowers. I loved seeing three of my works all together, a mini gallery show of sorts, and a much appreciated notice of my work. Very nice indeed.

Nancy, I love this painting of autumn colors and forms! The black background highlights the various hues of the flowers so beautifully! l/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I have so much fun and freedom of gesture and form when I do a large floral. I would have loved being a textile artist.

Gorgeous colors and marvelous contrast with the black background. Beautifully done. l/f!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
The original colors are baby blue and pink. I did take some Picasa liberties to make the two colors I chose a bit more commercial.

Very beautiful with nice texture, this reminds me of leaves blowing in the wind a well! LF

Have just been out raking! Yep....this looks like leaves!! Thanks, Angela.

Fabulous warmth and tonal gouache artistry dear Nancy , You step back to a different time and gift us a Masterpiece .
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
With proper training (and lots of restraint) I might have been employed in one of the great English textile firms designing fabrics and wallpaper. Frederic Schumacher was born in 1889....that's my period of old fashionness!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Actually I think Schumacher was an American firm....even more likely than...had I been born earlier...
