Description
These ancient pines must be the elders of Forest Park. They live near a hatchery pond skirted by water lily beds and visited by blue herons who enjoy fine dining of small fishes. It's obviously a great place for photography...and for these beautiful trees!

Nancy, I love the colors, sunlight, and depth of focus of a favorite subject; I love ancient trees! The striated trunk of the foreground tree and the texture of the other are beautifully captured. l/f

I always visit this grove of pines. It feels like a sacred place, like other forests I loved as a child.
