Thanks, Marcia. This was in a class and my first go at pastels. I watched my mother do many portraits and I still have her old pastels....to supplement all the ones I bought. I love art equipment!!!

I seem to work well when I'm in a class. This was one in pastel chalk and I was so concentrated and joyous in finding this new medium!

Thank you so much for this wonderful comment. I still have my mother's pastels...of course I added to them. She loved this medium and did portraits of my father and landscapes. I just had to try them too.
