Beautiful and exotic Nancy, love the movement of the leaves and the rich golden tones. Wonderful work! fv
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Trying to work with themes here...innocence in peril or something like that...but it all turns into something exotic...which is okay too.

Nancy, Oh, how I love this. The strokes are whimsical looking, yet I know they have meaning. The colors are gorgeous and the whole composition so appealing to my eyes. I could spend all day on your site. (really). F/V
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
As I remember the story of Snow White, she was encased in a glass coffin and placed in a area where thorns grew up all around her and then....the prince came....and she was rescued. And I guess happily ever after happened next. Did I tell you I majored in English literature?

Nancy, there is definitely an oriental feel to this beautiful abstract. The shapes look a little like Chinese characters made from leaves. It glows rich gold and I love the definition that has been given to the white rose as the central focus. Very lovely. v/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I spent hours copying Chinese characters! My teacher "graded " them and yet I never could translate any of it. It was hand/eye and I loved the mastery of the strokes. Now I'm trying to find a way to incorporate this in my art. You are wise to notice.
