Description
One of my favorite botanical art books is entitled "The Paper Garden" by Molly Peacock celebrating the art and biography of Mary Granville Pendarves Delany (1700-1788). At 72 she began her life's work of constructing botanically correct flowers from cut paper, mounted on black ground. In all she composed 985 flowers of breath-taking beauty. I thought of her as I darkened this portrait with Picasa effects.

Gorgeous color fest, Nancy. You have such a way with your garden images. LF

Many thanks, I'ina. I loved giving this one a darker background...which really made the magenta stronger!

I just purchased my first phlox plants and after the first bloom they are struggling for a second showing. I'd love to have this flower in numbers....so pretty!
