After a course in cubism in 1973 I began to explore pen and ink geometric art. Each stroke was unplanned but exact, the designs becoming more elaborate and more fun to execute. First circles, then onward to straight lines, then organic and architectural constructions. Thirty years later I still dance out on the white space of a simple sheet of paper to weave new drawings. So nice of you, Rahdne. I have painted more in the past two years than in my whole life. FAA has been such a great gallery for me and meeting other artists and sharing work is just the best!

I love this!!! You surprise me so often with your eclectic styles!! f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I was looking for some black paper and found a large tablet of colored pastel papers with several black pages. I had begun this painting years ago....just the internal spiral. And then, using my new gouache friend, voila....a new style...old mixed with new. It was a nice surprise for me too.

Fantastic Abstract Nancy.......Gorgeous colors............v./f./tweet
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I was surprised at how this turned out...using black paper and the gouache just soaked in a bit and then became transparent in interesting ways.

This really appeals to me, Nancy..I love the 'finish' of the paint, and the colours, so classy, and, the lovely visible touch of your hand, and heart, together. I also love the womb=like format.........it's a great painting.........vf......VIVA
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
How really nice, Vivian. I love being "classy" ....and full of heart. It means the world to me that I have such a wonderful audience. I paint because it's fun, but really fun to share. All these years, I had no idea how important that would be to prompt me to try harder.
