You are so great to give me this praise. I'm late to take art seriously and really work at it....so it's good to know I'm able to produce work which is intelligent and pretty enough so that the viewer stays around for the message. Thanks, Maggie!

Oh, Nancy. Your imagery is so abstract but you always get your idea across so incredibly well. Without reading the description, it felt like trees being engulfed by flames, and of course, it is exactly that. You are incredibly talented and such a pleasure for me to congratulate you on your feature in the Gallery Wall! Maggie

Wow! Amazing realism, I can feel the heat immediately, such a wonderfully creative mind you have Nancy!.....l/f

It's amazing to me that I begin to paint an abstract and it moves very quickly to realism. My art has evolved into story telling....or illustration.

So gorgeous Nancy! Your creativity is wonderful as is your outstanding use of color - you have created such wonderful depth here; and the atmosphere is magical...just like being there in the forest during the heat of the day...and the tragic fires - California is in a world of trouble thanks to the drought and if this winter does kick in and do its thing; next year and the years to follow are going to even more devastating....beautiful artwork my friend!!! :-))

This is a strong message for me to keep going. In all my years of doing art, most of it was for beauty, for decoration, for composition and to emulate all of the artists I loved so much. This new technique (acrylic, credit card, macro photography) is an amazing tool and suddenly I'm able to illustrate narratives!

Oooh, yes, you really created the feeling of a forest fire here, Nancy!! So tragic and beautiful....and a wonderful eulogy to those poor trees!!!! :)))vf

Have been playing with illustration ideas rather than "fine" art. I began a series on drought and ended with this ...result.

Many thanks, Wayne. We lived in California for twenty years and I am so distressed with the drought and the many fires!

I'm speechless dear Nancy:) This is over the top mind blowingly beautiful FV/L

You are so kind. I spent 20 years in California and I'm so upset with this drought. And, of course, the fires.

Stunning photography Nancy! love the deep amber tones and abstract feel! A beauty! FL

Again, a painting developed with acrylic and a credit card. Like painting with palette knife, but a broader surface.

Wish for rain. Beautiful picture.

i do but the trees, especially the giant sequoias, are so compromised, so dry.

Oh, nice digital brushwork, l/f

I used a credit card to push the acrylic! Then I relied on Picasa to tone the color.
