Many thanks Ian for this feature in Awesome Asia. I'm so honored to be in your gallery. This is one of my very favorite digital works and I was so pleased to invent it!

Nancy, this one really speaks to me, I see this woman, with a deep connection to nature and her surrounding, she meld into her surroundings, really nice work FAV++/L
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I made a mistake crediting the Paint program in Windows 7 for this work. Actually the cloning tool which is so amazing in with Irfan. I have loved using my own paintings as an source for texture and color, assembling the new painting like working a jigsaw puzzle. Thanks so much, Nancy. This is me!

So happy to have this digital painting featured in Lyrical Trees - Vibrant Wavelength of Color. I was just discovering the Irfan Paint program and learning how to "paint" by cloning! It was a great experience!

This really speaks to me deeply, Nancy. My great great grandmother was "Cherokee Kate" that's as much info as we can determine. I have always felt the Native Americans had such a beautiful love and appreciation for Earth . . . I feel that spirit and unity here in such tremendous beauty. I really really love this one! . . . . .vf
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
So very happy you found this one. It spoke to me as well....little by little as "she" evolved....I made her from elements in the painting..i.e. the brown hair...was formerly part of that cliff etc. So the spirit literally rose from the earth!

So sorry I didn't respond. My FAA password didn't work all weekend and finally today I got back to my comments. This one is amazing and I thank you, Heather.

Wow, I love this! Amazing how much you can see in her long flowing garment too! LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I love using a cloning tool on Paint, a program in Windows 7 It gives one the ability to move parts of the picture, to duplicate large swaths or tiny details. I have two versions of her garment....because I realized the shadows didn't read correctly.
