Description
I was definitely on the side of the marchers and the anti-war movement. This photo shows my sadness...I think. I thought I'd post it to celebrate and honor International Women's Day.

Love this photo, Nancy! Thanks for sharing this!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thank you, Uma. I marched in the Women's March here in St. Louis and it reminded me of other times, other marches. I want to participate in my era, in the ideals I believe in....

This is a beautiful portrait Nancy. So much emotion. l/f!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks, Meg. Those were the days....and we have them back again now....no peace in sight. So I'll just celebrate being a woman. We can all agree on that!

My family was split right down the middle ...as they were during the Civil War....imagine....and it was tough to sit at the Thanksgiving table. As America is now....two camps...no understanding...nobody's fault...just what it felt like was raw. And still today in my family...the same. Loved your comment, Dave. Thanks.

Awesome post Nancy. Back in `66 the guys, in my infantry unit, myself included, had some choice words and a distaste for protestors. Over time we have come to understand and have made peace. Today many of us vets feel the protestors were right. I wear my Vietnam Veterans hat proudly and people from our generation come up to me, shake my hand and tell me "welcome home". It`s a wonderful feeling my dear.....Happy Women`s Day" awesome lady

A beautiful portrait of a younger you! Love the thoughtful expression, light and sepia tones! LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Ah, the younger me.....it's nice to have a few shots of back then....there are not many. I was not into photography until later...and my friends were not either. The 60's were heavy times....like now.
