Description
I can remember facing this bouquet and very quickly laying down my impression of it, always thinking of this as a "sketch" I'd perfect later, making my marks tidy. Well, here it is, untouched and a beacon to how I am able to make art. I still maintain: let the hand and the eye find its way, keep your distance from judgement and art criticism. My literary brain has so much of that implanted ...we even had courses in criticism and indeed the art world has an army of these "thinkers" also. I want to be a doer. And this one is a guidepost!

What a nice comment. This was one of the first acrylic paintings I did which I liked. It pointed the way to now....which is why I posted it. I already wanted to work quickly but didn't have the skills.

Later (many years later) when I had two children and a home and flower garden I planted these glorious flowers....bulbs....and every year they were backdrop for my their portraits. I'll find a photo and post it too. !!!
