It's a really odd to choose a very matte medium (qouache/tempera) and then make it transparent (sometimes) or glowing (as in this one). I've stumbled into so many quirky but personal favorite "tricks" for making my art. Thanks, Angela. I can hardly wait to see what I'll do next....
