Description
I took this photograph with a zoom setting as this branch was thirty feet above me. What a beautiful tree, a Persian Silk Tree Mimosa with these delicate pink fan flowers! The pretty green leaves slowly close at night or when it rains so it's know as the "night sleeper". It's a native of Iran, China and Korea but doing well in Missouri.

I've seen these before....so delicate and interesting. The leaves fold at night and when it rains! So happy you enjoyed it!

Thanks, Meg. Someday soon I'll find a smaller tree and get a macro photo of this lovely fan flower!
