Description
Using elements from my photography of fall grasses I've deconstructed, I now have the pleasure of rebuilding a collage, an interesting design with added geometric flourishes made from these elements, building a new work in blue, pale yellow, green and white. All about nature by Nancy Kane Chapman.

Every new digital painting is a learning tool...and so this one...which uses my photography, was a pleasant surprise. I love using that tall yellow grass as a design element. And the trees with blue leaves and white sky....looks like a toile pattern. And then a bit of geometry to enrich the surface. Thanks, John for featuring this one in "Images that Excite You" I'm so pleased!.

At first I just used my own art as a palette but then I thought ...maybe my photographs would be bright and nice. Well, what a nice surprise!!

I love the contrasts in color and pattern here Nancy! Marvelous work! l/f!

The soft grasses illuminated with sun created such a beautiful shade of yellow. It's like using nature for a palette.
