Description
There are some holiday photographs that seem to be more than just a record of a day, a place, a time. These are more moments, so fleeting....the rosy moment just after the sun has set....the sky reminding us that it was just here....we the hikers a mere shadow in the beautiful scenery.

Beautiful, Nancy!! Wonderful play of light in the image, and love the way the hikers are really part of the landscape and experience. lf
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
The hikers are husband Richard and son Drew....which makes it even more magical. That's the York River near Williamsburg, Virginia.

This has such a great mood to it! Love the light.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Me too. I think it's my nicest sunset photograph...without the actual sunset!
