Thank you very much, Jolanta for featuring my "Einstein" in Human Portraits..." I had just taken a portrait class and was trying very hard to get a likeness of the subjects. I chose Einstein as a test, really and so was delighted when my drawing matched him.
Henryk Gorecki

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks so much, Henryk! The pencil is quite the powerful tool for capturing portraits. Some years that's all I did!!
Marcia Lee Jones
You captured his expression perfectly! t
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks! I purposely chose someone famous to test my ability to get a likeness.
Michel Verhoef
Very nice interpretation of his portrait...I like the emphasis on his eyes and mustache.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
My father and now my husband are into the mustache! No wonder I got that right!!! The eyes are the window to the soul, I've often heard.

Again, always the student...I was taking a great class in portrait art and then I just kept on going....copying and then flying solo.

Nancy,I really like the immediacy of this pencil portrait. You have caught such depth to the eyes and I sense some humour lurking there too as well as the questioning gaze. Lovely to see a fresh interpretation of Einstein in this delightful sketch.v/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Jane, you are so sweet to study this portrait and give me your ideas. I was deep into portraits and I wanted so much to catch a likeness, so I chose icons and this is one result. Thank you for seeing humor and questioning. What a fabulous comment!!
