Description
I discovered in trying to make this white heron just a little darker that his wings and his head "read" blue. Delighted by this computer magic, I decided to use this for his image. What I really saw was ...white!

We know where to find the herons in town in Forest Park which is like Central Park in NYC. It was fun to follow them about with cameras!

Nancy, I love the shading of blue of this magnificent heron! The dark background highlights the colors of the subject so beautifully! l/f/g+
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
The computer "found" the blue. I really liked this black treatment of the water. Somehow it can stand in for a star filled sky.

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Herons are so amazing and mysterious! I think of Egyptian friezes...so I attempted to take him out of time and space and go with the magic.
