Gorgeous, Nancy. I get a feeling of the Gardeb if Eden, when nature was totally unspoiled and joyfully creating, designing. LF+

What a grand idea, I'ina. I certainly was joyfully creating, full of spontaneous fun...and sharing these new methods with my artist friends.

Gorgeous abstract, Nancy! Love the color and movement so much!...fv

This series got me started with so many of the techniques I still use. And I notice I was already into gold!!! Thanks, Karen.

One of my first color abstracts and in the very first "batch" of things I posted on FAA. Thank you so very much, Jerry for featuring this work in Abstract Experiments. Surely this was just that!!!

Beautiful abstract Nancy love your spontaneous spirit of expression! Such wonderful golden light emanating from this intriguing work! FL

This series was almost the very first ones I painted with a credit card. I was so excited by the results I printed them out on photo paper.... Thank you so much for all of your encouragement and comments. Hope you have a bright and merry Christmas!

So much to see in this and in all your credit card and toothbrush paintings. I could look at them all for hours! v/f

Thanks so much Sarah for all of your praise. I certainly enjoyed doing these pieces....!!

Great expressionist energy in this series. This reminds me of dry cornfields in the heat of the summer.

Thank you, Maria. This series followed several courses I took in Mixed Media. Suddenly I had new freedom and new methods and I've been enjoying them for several years now. Art is always a surprise!

About Nancy Kane Chapman

Nancy Kane Chapman

I began my love for art by watching my mother paint in oils and pastels. I must have caught the bug because I have enjoyed fifty years of drawing, painting and photography, urged on and instructed by professors, a botanist, a master of Chinese brush painting and calligraphy, water colorists and lately, mixed media devotees. After a course in cubism in 1973 I began to explore pen and ink geometric art. Each stroke was unplanned but exact, the designs becoming more elaborate and more fun to execute. First circles, then onward to straight lines, then organic and architectural constructions. Thirty years later I still dance out on the white space of a simple sheet of paper to weave new drawings. Picasa effects allow me to...
