Description
Our street in an area of St. Louis known as oak forest...because it was and still is...although the oaks are now getting quite old. The lovely one arching across the street is our oak and I've been told it is over 100 years old. Some big branches have already been cut and we have it lovingly trimmed and only hope the wind doesn't lift it to our roof. It's a beauty.

This reminds my of my boyhood in Omaha, Nebraska, Nancy. Tree lined streets......fav / like
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
My childhood home was very like this too but the last time I visited the old trees were long gone and there had been no attempt to plant new ones. So sad.

Truly idyllic, Nancy..........happy for you.

Far away from the kids though....but Drew is arriving for five days this evening. Very exciting! I know Australia doesn't really have Thanksgiving, but I hope you have a lovely feast anyway!
