Description
The weather was perfect for a hike to our beautiful Forest Park and the magnificent
Art Museum atop Art Hill. In the winter, kids sled ride and snow board down this
gently sloping hill. Now it's wonderful tree lined paths blaze red with autumn.

Beautiful, Nancy. You have caught the mood and the vastness of the space the buiding rests in. Great light. LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Many thanks I'ina. When it snows (and it did last week) this hill becomes a sled riders dream. We were there to watch and I'll post some of the fun tomorrow!

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
The St. Louis Art Museum was constructed in 1904 as the Palace of Fine Arts for the 1904 World's Fair. It's amazing, free to the public with some very beautiful art (Monet, Van Gogh, Sargent....) and a new wing for contemporary art just completed. Below this hill is a lake with fountains. It feels very European with its huge statue of St. Louis out front. I was happy to arrive just at the right moment for great afternoon light!

I love the expansive feeling in this photo. Beautiful image.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
It was simply a marvelous day and the afternoon light created these streaks on the lawn.
