Oh I love this Nancy!! The deep rich color, the moment in this piece, just lovely!!! l/f/t/P
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
She was sitting on my art table as I sketched this.....and such a kitten then, with ears so big.
Karen Adams
Such a wonderfully sweet painting! She looks so cozy and warm! Great work, Nancy!....fv
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
She was right beside me when I did this, only a kitten then with ears way to big for her body. Now she's four and wide of girth. A foodie!!!

Beautiful painting, gorgeous tabby.dear Feather...the perfect model. You've captured the beauty and watchfulness - so alert though still.......fv..........VIVA
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I have never met a cat who's tail never stops moving. And indeed she is hyper alert. A bit of the wild is still there and of course we love observing all of it. No need for an African safari!

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Am surely not a great painter, but I'm definitely someone who enjoys the process!! Hugs to you.

Nancy, this is a great depiction of your red spot Tabby! Love the colors, texture, and composition very much! Excellent painting! l/f/g+
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Many thanks, Elizabeth. She has definite markings, patterns, amazing variety of colors. I'll have to map it out if I were to do her justice. I did capture the intensity of her being!
Melly Terpening
This is fabulous painting, Nancy. Great technique! FL
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks, Melly. She was just next to the painting as I did it...and I didn't sketch it first!
Mother Nature
F/L I'm sure feather loves her portrait. She is now such a grown up girl and very regal looking! Her baby picture is beautiful:>)
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Her face filled out but is still quite small but her ears to face ratio....perfect! I think she looks a bit like a cheetah!
Sarah Loft
Cool! Love cat art and this work is unique and lovely.
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
The designs in the fur are so not this....but somewhere there's the feeling of the exotic here...and Feather has that.
Meg Shearer
Beautiful work Nancy! Wonderful tones and technique! l/f!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Clearly a sketch in paint....but so far this is as close as I've come to painting Miss Feather.
Felix Lai
Great abstract of the cat, wonderful colors! l/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
She was sitting beside me when I did this one...and I must say that fur was distracting! I'll try again!
