Musical Theater
by Nancy Kane Chapman
Title
Musical Theater
Artist
Nancy Kane Chapman
Medium
Painting - Pen And Ink
Description
A very evolving geometric drawing which turned into a full scale painting as I found shapes and added textures to represent parts of musical instruments. Some people have found parts of a sitar, or a guitar, a piano perhaps, or auto harp...and some have said they spotted a viking ship....with little people aboard. All visions are accepted with joy!

Nancy I love this piece! Musically exciting, full of rhythm and joy. However, I see the viking ship as well, on a voyage full of excitement and adventure. Wonderfully done!

I could never do something so intricate, I mean it is just so fantastic... I love it.. not because my hand shakes most of the time but because I hehe just don't have that kind of talent as you do..love it Sherri fl-fb
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
What a very nice comment, Sherri. It's so odd for me now to see these adult coloring books for sale in Barnes and Noble etc. Guess who was into making this kind of art way before it became the rage!!! I have to smile! Thanks!

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
You must realize how very fun it is to be in the midst of one of these big ink unplanned adventures...step by step adding yet another line or dot and only at the very end seeing what you have created! I've been "at this" since 1973...but this is my first one with a nib pen point.

Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
The whole thing is a sight to behold. I prefer to look at smaller portions so I photographed those for framing. But someone did purchase this large drawing. Amazing!!
