Nancy, this is a powerful painting; the variegated colors and boldness of the mountain as depicted are very engaging! Wonderful work and a beautiful childhood memory! l/f
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I'm happy now when I see how boldly I painted this one...no pastels here....because my memories of this place are so vivid, my love for every tree and trail still holding in minute detail. Thanks, Elizabeth. I love all of your beautiful blue mountains from New Hampshire too!

Nancy, your works simply speak to the viewer and wow, do they have a lot to say. "Mountain Memories" is awesome and remind me of some of my childhood spent in West Virginia. You earn the prestigious "Green Mountain" gold medal....l.v.f. sweet
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Those were the days when danger did not lurk in the woods and kids could go hike and stay out for hours of fun. There were five of us very close in age...so we had our own hiking party!

What a beautiful memory from your childhood Nancy; I love this composition, the rich color, the forests and contrasting sky.....The style in which you created this really brings it to life!!! :-)))
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Actually you'd never see this unless you were a drone or flew over in a light plane. It's fun to lift off the ground though and get the bird's eye view. I loved the hiking!!!

I wantt so much to express the mystical in nature....I surely feel the power of geography....and its spirit.(s),
