I loved this photograph for the arrangement of colors and shapes as well as the main event, my art muse cat Feather, stretching out with great authority on top of my just finished brush painting.

Such a special creature, lovely capture and scene LF

My new three year old male tabby is very interested in watching me paint! He's growing into a companion cat just like Feather!

These tabbies are quite the friend kinda cats. This is the second one I've loved! And there are four more in our extended family...one named Alvin...!!

Awesome scene!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks, Vesna. She inserts herself into my space....a very companion cat except when sleeping or mouse hunting.

OMG beyond precious and so nice to see your paintings and brushes there too, LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
It's been a little too cold for the basement lately but I'll be back there soon! I do love the art toys and have lots of them!
Lynda Lehmann
Beautifully done and SOOOOO intriguing, Nancy! It has a truly timeless quality! LF and a fave!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
She loves to join me when I paint and best of all, when I'm doing yard work and gardening. (She rides on the tarps when I gather leaves!!...which is coming right up!)

a lovely visit to your studio! L/F
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I need to get there and begin to work again. I've been away from this desk too long!

I'm so happy that Feather is a feature!!! She always ups my photography with her beauty and poise...and grace. In this instance I note that she has clearly found the center of the photo....and then I could just press the button and have the balanced shot. Makes me wonder....!!
Meg Shearer
I love this! l/f!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks Meg. She's right by my side as I type this note....sitting in a director's canvas chair. What a companion animal!!!
Nancy Kane Chapman
She is so gentle, never hurting any of the many paintings she has taken a nap on. There was one thin portrait on tissue though, hanging near a fan, gently moving....my fault entirely!!
Joyce Dickens
LOL How awesome Nancy! Feather obviously thought that you painted your latest just for her!!! Makes a darned cute image my friend! :-))
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Just spotted this fun comment! I've been in LA and far from my FAA duties. Someday I'll paint a really good one of the Feather!!!
Angela Davies
There is no question that Feather thinks of herself as your most important work of art, LF She certainly knows how to compose a photo! :) Adorable!!!
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
I agree...she finds just the right spot and all I have to do is click! ( She looks like I might have to put her on a small diet!!! )
Denise Davis
This is just so beautiful Nancy
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks, Denise. My studio is in the basement and she loves being down there with me when I paint.
