Description
As the magnolia bloom fades, its seed pod and petals take on new colors and textures. Magnolias are beautiful at every stage of their lives. When they begin to wither, the leaves become stiff and finally the whole flower becomes an apricot color.

I have a two bulb Apple Blossom pink Amaryllis in my dining room and one of the blooms is just beginning to open. I'm really hoping to do a nice watercolor!!

This one was my elegy. The floating leaf, unattached finally to the stem, was the soul of the magnolia departing.
