What I always love about your work is how you see it ! It is as if the 'story' comes after the painting, when you rise to a higher level of response to interpret your marks....that is a real gift, Nancy, and stimulating to the viewer to read and see again. Kudos......fv...VIVA
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
You have such wisdom. I do find and then tell the story of what I see. Indeed many of the tales don't even make themselves known until I have darkened or brightened the painting. This method is very exciting. I do not plan my work, but allow it to evolve through the act of drawing or painting. Am so happy to have you as a friend. Hope we both have more to share in the New Year!!! Hugs!

Beautiful! That woman in the pink robe caught my eye when I saw the thumbnail, without even reading the description of the painting! Wonderfully done! F/L

Beautiful and a fave Nancy

I'd like to push this a little further and make the butterfly and the fish a bit more realistic. Or paint a new one based on this trial. I'll post the results!
